AskWoody PlusGlad to meet a member of the Quicken 2002 forever club. I started in 1991 and stopped updating to new versions with the 2002 version. All the online bits stopped working over here in the US when they changed the file format but I use only the prices which I can enter by hand easily enough.

AskWoody PlusNovember 24, 2016 at 9:30 am in reply to: Malwarebytes stumbles with false positive on KB 3197868, the Win7 November Monthly Rollup #1585199Kb3197868 returned to my update list this morning, 11/24/16, dated 11/23/16 so it looks like MS has fixed it and reissued it. I installed it with no issues. I think we’re in for a bumpy ride with these new rollups.

Today it is gone from my Windows Update list. It has not been installed. Has MS withdrawn it? Does anyone know what’s going on?

AskWoody PlusJust to add to the warnings to leave this update until the problems are resolved.
I installed 2685811 without incident. When I tried to install 2685813 it hung at 99% complete and did not change for over 5 minutes. I clicked on the Stop Installation button but got no results over the next 3 minutes. During this time I could not open Task Manager or Windows Explorer; just got the circling orb for a second or two then no change. I finally stopped everything by pressing the power button to shut down. Upon restarting I got the usual message about an abnormal shutdown. I elected the Normal Start up which worked OK. 2685813 was still in the list of pending updates and not in the list of installed updates. At no point did I get any error messages of any kind.
