AskWoody LoungerThat was it – thanks. If I create a frame and put two check boxes in it, it there a property that will only allow one to be checked at a time?
thanks again!

AskWoody LoungerOctober 13, 2008 at 12:38 am in reply to: Converting functions to array functions in VBA (2003) #1128811Good idea. Long story, but we have downloaded 300-600 survey results for 10 different departments, sorted by type of employee. I would have preferred Access, but the person who created this used array functions in Excel and I don’t want to have to recreate it.
Thanks again.

AskWoody LoungerThanks to both – we did check that calculations are automatic (and the table does update) – it’s really odd – I have 40-50 students and this happened to only 3-4 of them….I’ll try to recreate and send to you. First, we’ll reboot Excel and then try the spreadsheet on another PC.

AskWoody LoungerThanks – pilot error on my part – I was testing the code on a sheet that was created called “Macro” instead of “Sheet1” – all’s good now.
Thanks to you both!

AskWoody LoungerThanks Hans, but no luck. I’ve tried storing this in the worksheet and in a module. I think my problem is more basic. I’ve added a “msgbox” statement to verify the macros runs – and it does not. The macro does not appear on the list of macros when I open the list of macros from the “tools” menu item. I’ve checked the security setting (medium) and enabled macros when I opened the file. Any ideas where I am going wrong?
Thanks again!

AskWoody LoungerThanks – makes sense! Larry

AskWoody LoungerThanks – Did so poking around and it appears that the paste mimics the format of the existing text in the file. I had text that was bold and underline in the file and when I used the macro, the pasted text was also bold and underlined (hence my confusion). When I used the macro in a new file, it provided the expected results. Learn something new every day.
Thanks again

AskWoody LoungerTop to bottom – I’ve written VBA code to automatically populate the charts, calculate control limits, etc and then print them 3 to a page (top to bottom).

AskWoody LoungerThanks to both if you – not sure why it works now and not before…..but it works….I lowered the security settings to Medium, but then it worked after I raised it again. I ran it from both the local workbook and personal macro workbook. Who knows……
Thanks again!

AskWoody LoungerIs there a change in the code to make this code for Excel 2002? When I initially ran the code, it couldn’t find the solver application (it was installed). Once I added the full path to “solver.xla”, I get an application error when I run it.
Thanks!

AskWoody LoungerHans –
I have a similar problem – I want the headers for the subreport to appear on muliple pages (the main report is two pages, the subreport may be 3-8), but the subreport headers only print on the first page of data.
Is this possible?
Thanks!
Larry
