      Dick,

I’m sure you will get a wide range of conflicting OPINIONS on this one. {notice the capital letters}. Personally, I NEVER reinstall unless I have a problem I can’t fix some other way it’s just too much trouble. I use programs like CCleaner to keep my registry from having too much garbage in it and a host of other utilities. I keep regular Image backups and usually set a restore point before installing new software/hardware so I can back out gracefully if something goes wrong. I’ve been using personal computers since 1979 both professionally and as a hobbyist and this has worked for me. YMMV I’m now changing into my IRON Underwear!

      Pete,

If you will Right-click on the square indicated by the red arrow in the first picture below you will get the Sorting and Grouping dialog. Simply select your field name {Agency in the example #2} then the Group Properties options at the bottom will appear. You can them make the appropriate settings here to get it to break the pages as desired. You can use the help for info on each of the settings.

      Good Luck

Edited to correct error per post below.

      Easy enough with vba code
There is code here to change placeholder font
      Some sample vba code

If you want something else explain clearly and I will post the code.

      John,

Very nice. I booked marked that page! I’ve never used VBA in PP.

Here’s another one for you. Can you gen up some VBA to set all the slides back so they will adopt the master?

      Frank,

Here are a couple of things you can try.

      1. Click on a slide in the slide sorter on the left then press Ctrl+A to select all slides. Then right-click on any of the slides and try reapplying the Master template by selecting Slide Design.

      If that doesn’t work.

      2. Select all the slides as above then select Format on the menu and then Replace Fonts…
This will allow you to replace the current slide font with your corporate font.

      Anyone else have a suggestion?

      Good luck.

BTW: these instructions assume PP2003. If you have another version YMMV.

      RR,

I tried this, Opened the Programs & Features form icon on desktop, closed it.
When I did a left-click on the desktop as you indicated the icon blinked (showed highlight then went out).
Then I held down the ctrl key and scrolled the mouse wheel and the icons resized but there was no indication the last item selected. This may have something to do with some other setting but I could not duplicate you’re & Ted’s experience.

      Jerry,

I do this all the time. I’ve created two directories, Desktop & Laptop.
Then when I create an image place it in the appropriate directory and name it with my initials & an 8 digit date in YYYYMMDD format, e.g. iii20101024.

Hi Loungers, is it possible to program FF to open my home page when clicking the ‘open a new tab’ link ?

RR, I don’t think it is configurable but you can just hold the Ctrl key & click the Home icon to achieve the same effect.

Most printers also have an option in their properties dialog that lets you reverse the order of printing. This is preferable because it will affect all programs with one change.

    • in reply to: Removing Windows Live Essentials 2011 #1251494

PLEASE forgive me for being so hesitant with this, but I only want to avoid getting into an avoidable situation that creates a problem I cannot get myself out of. 🙁

The way to keep yourself out of trouble is to use an image backup program like Acronis True Image 2011 Home.
If you’re leery about an install just image your hard drive first then if things go awry just restore the image and all is well.
