Agreed good article however, one comment I find strange “registry cleaner” not needed. I have some none professorial experience gained since using Win3 now running Vista. However, my friends mistakenly think I’m a genus. Why? there computers are running so slow, take a age to start up. Until I run Ccleaner.
Perhaps Woody Leonhard’s article applies to Windows 7 only?

I have never had problems with ccleaner in fact I have run it on many of my friends computers with no problem. I have found out the computer that gave me the problem did not have service pack two installed, service pk 2 fixes this problem, I ran system restore and got it running again.

This was my friends computer it was given to me as it was running slow. I ran cclleaner removed GB’s of junk on restarting the computer all the user profiles were corrupted and desktop would not load. I used system restore and got to boot up ok.
I understand service pack 2 was not installed this may be the problem.
      Thanking you jimmy

Recover from a disastrous hard-drive crash in the worst case occurrence you need a good disk imaging program if you can not recover from a crash.
I looking for a good disk imaging program, when ever I want a good program the first place I stop and have a look is in Lounge best free programs However, in the Disk management section no matter what file you click on for information, you get good information on firewalls.
What I’m looking for is a good disk imaging program preferable to be free

Using print screen any thing on a pc monitor can be copied

    • in reply to: Product Key #1239203

The reason for this is Dell uses a generic key and that is entered into the Registry. All the utilities pick up that incorrect key. Your key is the one on the sticker. Make copies of it and keep with your windows disk. You will need it if you ever have to install a new hard drive.

Write the key using a felt tip pen on the CD you will never loose the key unless you loose the disk
