Somehow my internal zip drive was designated as the C drive. Can I use your idea and change the zip drive to G (there is currently no assigned G drive) and then do as you said? Then maybe I can assign the zip to E as it was before.

We use all of the buttons and find them extremely helpful. Also, we use AutoCAD architectural Desktop in the office and it is so complicated that programming a keyboard is the best way to do many things. We use the avant stellar prime and find it fantastic. http://www.cvtinc.com/products/keyboards/stellar.htm%5B/url%5D

      Thank you both so much!

    • I found the problem!!! It was because of a setting I had made with Tweak UI. I had activated the X-Mouse setting. I just went and deactivated it and now I no longer have the problem. If you do not know what the X-Mouse is I attached a screen shot of the Tweak dialog box that tells it all .

    • Nothing in your last post seemed to help. I tried to reset things, and still as soon as I move my mouse off the dropdown button the calendar/times, etc. disappear. I am wondering if I should just run detect and repair – although this machine is so new (10 days) that I am wondering if that is a good idea…

    • John –

Sorry if I wasn’t completely clear. OK – lets say I am in calendar (Daily view). I click on Actions, New Appointment (actually I do this via a shortcut but the same problem happens when I do it via the calendar). I type in whatever info I want in the Subject and Location areas. Where it says “Start Time” there is a dropdown arrow that brings up a calendar for choosing a date and another one for the time. And the same for “End Time”. When I drop down these arrows I get the Calendar, times, etc to show up. But the moment I move my mouse over the Calendar/times, the Calendar/times disappear and my mouse in now on the spot where I would have wanted it to be on the Calendar/time etc. but the Calendar/time dropdown has disappeared. This also happens with the Reminder time but NOT with the other dropdown stuff on the appointment (show times as busy, free, etc. and the Label dropdown. I tried to attach some screen shots to show you what I mean but the mouse pointer is missing from the screen shots so it does not help much. I am using a Logitech MX700 mouse with the newest version of Mouseware and I do not think it is that because I am encountering no problems with my mouse anywhere else.

I am a bit baffled. scratch

Thank you Andrew. I think I just found a FREE bravo tool that does something like I want. It is Outlook Contacts Scrubber at:

      Thanks,

    • in reply to: Migrate FirstClass Files (OL2000) #638545

Maybe I am not understanding the magnitude of your problem but I currently use First Class as my e-mail program and I find saving things a word documents exceedingly easy.

First Class has a wonderful tool called Summarize Selected. When one highlights multiple messages (closed, not open) and used the Summarize Selected tool (or gets it by right clicking), First Class puts all the highlighted messages in one document. One can then just drag and drop the selected messages into Word. The summarize tool keeps all the important info from each message (sender, date, subject line, etc) with each post, it is just now in one document. One can also arrange the order of the things that are “summarized” in the new document by sorting the selected messages (last modified, first modified, sender, subject, attachment, etc) before summarizing. I love First Class (at least for e-mail) and choose not to use Outlook for e-mail because of all the viral problems associated with it.

Of course I am probably in a very different position than you are as I have a choice – First Class is my e-mail because the private intranet to which I belong (The Psychoanalytic Connection – http://www.psychoanalysis.net) uses the First Class Client and I choose to use it rather than having to use it.

But with all the virus protection, etc. that Centrinity has built into the First Class Client I would be loathe to switch. Since everything stays on their server, even when I am reading it, unless I choose to download it to my machine to save it I find that I have never been Klezzed or Melissaed or whatever even though I do see a whole lot of mail in my box that was Kelz, etc. infected that First Class stripped out at the server level. I do use Outlook for everything else, though.

Perhaps if you can not get all the info you need from your company contacting the guys at Centrinity themselves might help. I know they are very responsive to the needs of Connectioneers (as we call ourselves) – although the questions do go through our administrator (and only if he can not answer them).

      Thanks.
Also – I just found a great resource on the net for the really long URLs like you sent. It is http://www.shorterlink.com. It translated the long link you sent into this:
      http://shorterlink.com/?IRAMF7
I then sent that along in an e-mail to the person who asked me about the viewer and, since she is not particularly computer literate I do not have to worry about telling her to cut and paste the WHOLE thing. (I just thought I would share that since I am currently just crazy about shorterlink.com bananas

      Best,

Thanks so much Ed. Memory is no problem. We have 768 MB of memory because we use such memory intensive programs like AutoCAD. We have plenty to spare though.

Thanks – but I found what I was looking for a while ago. I guess that I should have put it up here.

To save “deep” first add the page to favorites. Then go into Organize Favorites. Then click on Make Available Offline. Then click on Properties. Then, under the Download Tab you can save it up to 3 layers deep.
