In the last few days I’ve tried several times to update my Win 7 (64) without luck until today.
Today I rebooted my machine and then used Windows Update to check for updates. After several hours, while Windows Update was still checking, I decided to use Ctrl-Alt-Dlt to start the Task Manager. But before opening Task Manager I noticed the red restart/shutdown button in that window’s corner said I had 19 updates that would be installed at shutdown. I stopped the still checking Windows Update and rebooted. 19 updates were installed and Windows Update is now behaving nicely.
