      just include a CHR(10) somewhere in your setting. If you START with CHR(10), then the footer will be below other lines.
      Activesheet.pagesetup.leftfooter=chr(10) & activeworkbook.fullname

      ok, then after it’s been calculated and you want to keep it, copy/paste special values in place.

      use range(“x”).formula = range(“x”).value — but what’s the problem if it recalcs?

      Yes — instead of using the button on the forms toolbar, use the button from the control box toolbar. Then, right-click the button & bring up Properties window where you’ll find you can change the forecolor/backcolor of the button. Right-click again for the View Code to associate it with code.

      If you’ve already activated the cell, then activecell.column can be used as the 2nd coordinate (you said the row is always 1.

      Hey, it works! You CAN write a UDF, I suppose, but you wanted builtin.

      Given what you had to write to simulate a MUCH shorter array formula, I think it’d be advantageous to learn about array formulas. Check out

      Or a bit shorter:
      =IF(COUNTA(A1:B1)2,””,SUM(1*(MID(A1,ROW(1:100),1)MID(B1,ROW(1:100),1))) )
      (still array-entered)

      Sure there is —
      /ohr
      The leading slash activates the menus, the is for format, the h for sheet, the r for rename.

      We weren’t talking about time, but about numbers. In either case, NOTHING will pass a test of being both 12 in VBA, not even 12:30.
