      Hi Bob,

Thanks – tried scuffing up the rollers a tiny bit after cleaning them – made no difference. Ho Hum . . . this is a drag. Thanks very much for your help.

      Hi Paul,

Tried to copy – failed to work properly – did the same thing – lots of pages before and after the copy job. I am able to get it to scan, oddly enough, by going to Control Panel > Printers and Other Hardware > Scanners and Cameras, right click and follow the prompts. It fails to scan in the normal Image Center mode. Any ideas on how to check the hardware? Thanks – I sure appreciate the help.

      Hi Bob

Yep, the paper seems okay and it works just fine in another HP. It is really putting the paper thru the machine!! Hope you have a good thought. The unit itself is slightly aged – four – four and a half years of solid service. When I copy – it does the same. Thanks.

Yes, it does – there are so many pages coming – it jams and errors. Eventually, the test page prints. To be honest – its maddening . . . I checked the preferences – nothing seems out of sorts. Thanks.

I certainly agree with you – she wants a return – so I deleted the IE 7 fom the Control Panel – IE 6 has returned and she is HAPPY!

Otherwise, have a deightful upcoming year. As always, thanks!!

      Hi Joe,

Doesn’t seem to like anything at all about it . . . I LUV mine. She wants a return and is unhappy I updated.

Anyway – will IE 6 still be onboard if I delete IE 7 from the Control Panel? It’s not listed as a program.

      Thanks.

      Hi Jerry,

Yes indeed, it did help and I thank you very much. Sometimes I run across snippiness, though I must admit I’m not able to recall any ever here. This is a kind and generous group of folks who have helped me to figure out what I’ve messed up and how to fix it. With one foot in the 15th century and the other in the here and now, I’m somewhat technologically challenged.

Otherwise – as I’m lucky indeed to even have dial-up waaaay out here in the woods, I am cool with missing the occasional call. XP does lots of stuff, I wondered if it might do that . . . too.

Thanks for your kindness. I’m grateful. I wish you peace. The aged and wind-worn rocks are a good place for some of us.
