You’re very welcome! I hope I was helpful.

Sorry! I’m so used to clicking and pasting it’s become a habit! I will try to be more careful in the future. Thanks for your patience.

It’s not always a good idea to change the normal.dot. Instead, this article will tell you how to distribute your macros to others:

You can also export your autocorrect entries. See this article: http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizatio…Autocorrect.htm

Hey thanks Dave! That answers one of my questions!

    • in reply to: Hyperlinks (Publisher 2003) #1009682

Indeed you did and that’s what I meant when I said I would look elsewhere. Thanks for your time. I have no problem with doing reasearch. I answer questions for folks all day long. I actually ordered the book I need today. Just because one owns a program doesn’t mean they know everything about it. I will get the book and research it and when I find the answer I will post back so that it will help someone else sometime. Thanks again.

Sorry I wasted your time. I’ll look elsewhere. Thanks for your response.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I am using Adobe Acrobat (full version) and do not know how to create the hyperlinks in Adobe. Can you advise? Thanks in advance.

Thanks! I did figure out how to do this on my own after I had posted. Here is my next question now that I have accomplished that. The only way that I could click on the link and have it take me to the hyperlinked page, I had to depress CTRL while I clicked. So is this the norm? Will I have to put a blurb in my newsletter advising folks to use the CTRL key? Thanks so much for your help.

      Good morning Hans!

I just wanted to post and let you know that before I tried to change anything on my machine, I decided to try my template with the macro at home and it worked! I won’t tell you why it wouldn’t work here at my office because I’d be embarrassed at how stupid I was! Suffice it to say that you were absolutely correct and I thank you so much for your help and your patience!

Thanks Hans! I’ll keep you posted!

      Hi Hans,

Thanks for your quick response. The user states ” I clicked Start | Programs | Accessories in order to get to MS WordPad, but found that it was no longer there. ” “When I click on my document I get a message stating that ‘This file does not have a program associated with it.”

Thanks Hans. I will look into that. It’s odd that all of my other macros work just fine. Its just this one that is giving me a fit. Thanks for all your efforts.

      Hi Hans,

I can see that it did indeed work for you but I just tried it again and it deleted everything. What am I doing wrong? This is driving me nuts!

    • in reply to: Macro for watermark (Word 2003) #1008620

Aha….perhaps therein lies the rub….you ask me to attach the document and the macro. I can certainly attach the document but I did not save the macro in the document. Could that be contributing to the problem?
