AskWoody LoungerThanks Jim … I thought it was a 1-2-3 translation of some kind and had looked there .. so I do know that option you mention is checked … I thought I had tried unchecking it and still had the problem … but I will try again on Thursday (as I am not in the office tomorrow). I appreciate the help.

AskWoody LoungerOne work around ….. you can put the added information in the comment section of the Appointment form then use the Preview view on the calendar to display the content of the comment section in your calendar.

AskWoody LoungerSorry if I was unclear … what I am asking is about horizontal row width. Yes, the toolbar is unlocked. When the quick launch is open the horizontal width defaults to two rows wide and will not reduce to one row wide. It is controllable when quick launch is closed.

AskWoody LoungerAhhhhh I recognize the behavior …. a problem that baffles and you need to find the answer as much for yourself now as for me
RM I truely do appreciate the time you have spent on this … but please don’t let it distract you from other things you could be doing for yourself. If push comes to shove …. upgrading is the final answer. … unless of course the Upgrade exhibits the same behaviors and if that be the case … something is amiss in the puter. It has been scanned for virus so I don’t believe that is an issue.
Thanks, Chris

AskWoody LoungerRM Thank you for your efforts … I really do appreciate it.
Registry settings are something I haven’t really delved into to any great extent … really just learning about them. Do you have a suggestion for a good way to learn?
Thanks once again.

AskWoody LoungerVersion is 5.0 and it resets to strict upon each launch of IE …
I think the answer is upgrade to 6.0
Thanks, Chris

AskWoody LoungerI had look at the site you posted Dave and it is configured correctly …. I had also done several searches on the KB but nothing seems to fit this particular problem.
Thanks, Chris

AskWoody LoungerThanks Robin … I was actually just headed in this direction this morning. I tried copying and pasting and interestingly enough, if I copy and paste into Word, I get a copy of the record as opposed to a copy of the information, but if I copy and paste to notepad I get the info but its not in good order. I’m going to try the export now. Thanks for responding.

AskWoody LoungerThanks Gary … you are confirming what I had thought … I guess I’m expecting too much from this program. I have heard the 2002 version has some substantial changes to it …. but I’m not sure my client will migrate up since they just migrated to 2000 .. but who knows … everything else there has gone to XP.
I appreciate your help … and once again the people on Woody’s never disappoint me.

AskWoody LoungerHi Gary,
Thanks again for your response … I had drawn the conclusion that this was not very controlable .. and I did recommend she split it into 5 sub-tasks. This was on a “global” overview project plan and she was interested in keeping it suscinct. I asked the question here to assure that I was not overlooking something in my lack of experience with this program. Not my area of knowledge. Thanks, Chris

AskWoody LoungerThere is a setting in the page set up options that allows you to print the notes associated with the tasks. I wondered if there was a way to control where the page breaks on them. I could not find anything.
Thanks you for your response … as for the timescale .. I will look at that tomorrow when I get into my clients office.
Thanks, Chris

AskWoody LoungerThank you Catherine … I will look for that when I get into my client’s office tomorrow. I think we overlooked it because I was looking at the print preview.
