not spam, it usually happens with mail programs like incredimail I think

doesn’t seem to be html, I get html mail which looks as it should. When I open the envelope in the attachments it is a text message

Background:
I have a VB app that opens an A2K file using DAO 3.6 and stores data in it. We have recently converted the Access file from 97 to 2000 running on win2K. Now when the user tries to run the program he gets “Could not find installable ISAM”.

Solution:
We solved the problem ourselves – store it in a safe place and put it in your newsletters for all to benefit. M$ have virtually no information about this issue and clearly don’t really care – yet we have used their product since 1988 to manage our data.

Error:: “Could not find installable ISAM” was fixed by updating msvbvm60.dll file installed with win2k SP3 – in other words, win2k SP3 does NOT update this .dll. The correct version to use is the VB6 SP4 (minimum) released sometime before 2002. Microsoft have acknowledged an issue with this dll, ie they announced an issue about localisation.

I think this issue will get a LOT of attention from now on as users inbox folders bloat. It constantly amazes me how unsophisticated Outlook is and I read Woody’s newsletter on this subject with great interest. I may be just being primitive but I do not trust myself to restore info from the .pst, and I may only want one folder not all of it.

I can see the page number in the print preview
all that prints is a tiny part of the top of the number
any more suggestions?

Thank you very, very much. the keyboard choice was the problem and now I can type ‘ or ” without pressing the space bar as well. very happy puppy I am now.
Wonder why I didn’t get email notification of replies hmmmmmmm – must report.

Cliff, this is the exact problem I joined the forum to solve. I think it is something to do with the choice of languages when Word 2000 is installed. I want to remove this option asap, it is driving me crazy. Help please. BTW the issue is not limited to word, it happens in Outlook also
