      January 5, 2015 at 8:56 pm in reply to: Esc Key creates charts in Excel 2013 #1483377

      Key had been reprogrammed. Fixed. Odd that it still worked as proper ESC in all other programs.
      Thanks

      January 4, 2015 at 8:28 pm in reply to: Count Blank Cells by running date series #1483242

      Gordon,

      Try something like this where B1 to Z1 is the row range of dates and B2 to Z2 is the row for register 1 containing the X. Place the formula in cell AA2

      =COUNTIFS(B1:Z1,”>”&TODAY()-90,B2:Z2,””&””)

      The count for the last 90 days would be the number of X’s beyond 10/5/2014.

      38889-Countifs3

      This could also be done using a better method that counts only an X’s instead of non-blank cells.

      =COUNTIFS(B1:Z1,”>”&TODAY()-90,B2:Z2,”=X”)

      HTH,
      Maud

      Thanks, either of those work. Now is see how the COUNTIFS works. Nice

      January 23, 2014 at 5:05 pm in reply to: Wild Card Search to find section of line, know start and end, ignore middle #1435390

      Yes that works.. I got the original Operator ID*Terminal ID to work by changing it to
      Operator ID*Terminal ID*^13. Just noticed that NOW the original Operator ID*Terminal ID search now works as it should have in the first place. Still don’t see what I could have changed, but that’s programming.
      Thanks
      Steve

      Thanks,
      No none of those. I’ve got word 2003,2007,2010 on different machines, I’ll try it on those ans see what happens, plus VBA where I can be sure every other search option is off.

      Thanks,
      Yep, turns out all the ones with problems all have embeded images in the signatures.

      October 13, 2007 at 7:09 am in reply to: Sorting Labels (Access 2003) #1079405

      Thanks,
      I’ve solved the problem. The other comments made me realize I was doing it correctly, so for the 14th time I deleted everything in the sorting and grouping box and re-added them, which didn’t fix it, until I added to the labels the linking field that it was incorrectly sorting on, even though they weren’t in the label before then. Actually having the linking field in the label appears to let Access properly know that it’s to be ignored in sorting. I just made it transparent so it doesn’t show.

      Yes, I’ve done that, but it still insists on using the linking field 1 as the secondary sort, even though it isn’t anywhere in the sorting and grouping list. I’ve looked at and tried changing every option I can find to kill the field 1 sorting to no avail. I hoping someone knows of some flag that is well hidden that may control it.

      Oops, I was mixing up different sizes. I now see the label wizard, the one menu I hadn’t see before. Looks like that will do the job. Thanks

      Thats it. I realized that the key was unique, but it wasn’t set as the primary key. Changing that fixed the problem. Thanks
