      Hi Rory

I’ve attached a sample sheet as requested.

My issue is that with some of my reports under the ‘modoutcome‘ column, there are a range of outcome codes that could appear (20, 30, 40, 90 etc). Most are ok however if the modoutcome code 90 comes up for any client, this needs to be addressed.

To ensure this is addressed I thought I could include in the macro for the pivot table an option that if the 90 code comes up any data in that column under the 90 code would be in red and bold text.

      Trust this makes sense?

Thanks again for yur assistance and patience

      Cheers

Do any of the pivot table autoformats meet the formatting you want?

      Hi Rory

Again thanks for your help, Yes the auto format function partly assisted with my formatting requirements.

The other component that I still am trying to work out is how to automatically format a particular column so that the text colour is changed to red and is bold. The problem I have is that the column will only appear if there is data for that particular column.

      Any suggestions??

      Cheers

      Hi Rory
Thanks very much for the updated code, works exactly how I was wanting it to.

Was wondering if I could ask for your help with adding some code so that each each total row and column is coloured and the data is in bold.

Any chance you could assist with this….thanks

      Cheers

    • in reply to: Problems with data source linking #1267240

Thanks for the advice to keep the destination workbook open while changing. In the workbooks I was asking about it was very quick to change to name references, however I have a couple of other workbooks with much larger data so will use your suggestion with then as I don’t have time at present to change all the formulas to name ranges

      Cheers

    • in reply to: Problems with data source linking #1267238

You can make the source cells a Named Range and refer to that Name in your formula in the destination workbook, rather than referring to specified cells.
In general, the Named Range will adjust itself to insertions and deletions, whereas a formula in another workbook will not, as you have observed.

Thanks Martin that’s worked exactly how I was hoping.

      Hi Everyone
Just wanted to say thanks for your help and to let you know how I solved my problem.

I happened to mention my problem to one of my work mates and he suggested I create a new partition on my second HDD, install Windows on it and then boot using that installation and I could then restore my image to my original C drive.

Well I tried and much to my amasement it worked without a hitch.

Wish all my PC problems could be fixed as smoothly.

So thanks again for all your assistance
      Cheers

      Hi Dax,

After checking out Roderunner’s link to DriveImage FAQ, if you need a good guide to slipstreaming a service pack to XP in preparation for the bootable CD, see Paul Thurrott’s Windows Supersite here.

    • in reply to: Merge sections from one worksheet to another #1248154

      Hi

Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been away with work and not able to access the Net.

Below is further information as requested and to assist with this request I have uploaded a sample workbook to my Google docs site at:
      My linkhttps://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B2R7hkuu2v2XZTQyMTIxNDYtZjVhZC00YzlmLTljMGUtMWZjN2MyZmRmZWVh&hl=en&authkey=CO7y9qIN

The workbook contains 3 separate worksheets which are managed my separate individuals. On a monthly basis I need to combine the 3 worksheets into a new worksheet within the same workbook (while still keeping the original 3 worksheets). Currently I do this by cutting and pasting each section.

Within each worksheet there are several headings/sections, i.e.:
      • Green
      • Skilling
      • Literacy
      • PiP
      • Places
      • Get Set

I need all the data in each heading/section combined under the new worksheet under the relevant section.

My preference would be for a macro that I could assign to a tool on the toolbar/ribbon that I could use to do this function.

Is this possible or is there a different way I could set up the worksheets to achieve the same outcome.

I look forward to your response

      Cheers

      Sorry for the late reply….

Thanks Tim for your suggestion but already tried that without success.

Jock tried using the command function but not real good at it, as I have the relevant folder on a separate partition not the C drive can you advise how I change to the other drive (i.e. D). All the folders are listed under that drive.

      Thanks again in advance
      Cheers
