Hmmm, yes, I think if it would make it easy to link the fields we could combine them.

      They are two separate documents.

I mean in the TOC. For example:

CHAPTER 1 (first level not numbered)
645.001 Applicability to rules………………………3 (second level with page numbers)

It works great in 97, but no longer works the same in 02. Any insight on how a person could get it to work the same in 02 or am I fighting a loosing battle?

I still get a line (see sheet 2 of attachment)

See Sheet 1 of attached to view what I want to do. I have previously done this by coloring the section of the line I want to hide. I just thought there must be some way to have it not show up. Maybe there isn’t. Like I noted in the attached, I can remove the line on the first and last sections of the charted line, but not in any between, by using the Format Data Point box and choosing “None” under the line tab.

I see what you mean… Thanks for the refresher on normalization rules.

      Mark,
We’re wondering why you feel this is a violation of database normalization? The field we’re calculating is the expiration date of the member, calculated by what type of member they are and when they paid their membership fee. Only one date is stored at a time and it changes each time they renew their membership. Comments?

Thanks Hans…your first expression did the trick!
