AskWoody LoungerThat is an interesting thread. At the moment I am also looking for a web host and I am not quite sure which one I should choose. Some friends of mine recommended IX Webhosting and at the moment I would choose them. Will definitely also check your suggestions.

AskWoody LoungerI have been using a Belking modem router for about 2 years and I finally decided to take the switch last week. Much would be credited to the intermittent connection the modem router was giving me. I even contacted Belkin suport for a possible solution but they just gave me a lot of settings to ponder on which later made absolutely no sense. The upgrade was really needed and indeed worth it.

AskWoody LoungerI have been using Microsoft word for the longest time and I have been satisfied with it. Until recently, when I had to write a long conference paper, which I am a guest speaker for.
Someone then suggested me of a type setting program that would make writing a scholarly paper easier as it would be the one to handle all of the required format you are to use.
With Office, you have to worry of two things, content and format. While you can just worry about your content if you have a template to work with.

AskWoody LoungerI would have to agree that for a starter, the help option could inly provide the most basic answers to problems you might encounter.
I do not even check that out anymore and just work myself through finding a solution to my problem.
The the live help can really be useful but there is a very long screening process that would make you want to quite halfway through.

AskWoody LoungerOne of my main concerns with the firefox 4 was its inability to support one of the major plug-ins I use for my browser. I soon found out that there is a way to override this. I do not suggest it to casual users as it is not really a good practice. Though if you really want to upgrade but still use the plug-ins you have, you might want to give it a try.
