Have it downloaded and installed. I am running it as an ADMIN and it is blank. My crash screen says physical memory dump FAILED with status 0xC000009C.

      The screen had STOP:0X000000F4 (0X0000000000000003, 0XFFFFFA800, AF14060, OXFFFFFA8000AF14340, OXFFFFFA800,035D9510. In another section in Recover there was a problem signature. 01 6.1.7600.16385 02 6.1.7600.16385 03 unknown 04 274 05 AutoFailover 06 1 07 No root cause OS Version 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 local ID 1033.

Thankyou very much ruirib for your help! I will continue to try to fix it and will keep you advised. Jim

Thanks for the quiick response. I was clicking the network icon which reloaded wifi stuff. A reboot did get bluetooth back. I am still trying to find the cause of my blue screen crash when I sign on to the internet. Updating drivers, deleting recent software. Thanks again for your help

      Thanks ruirib,

I was setup to save only one restore date. It failed. It said something like it was non-reversable and I was upset and did not copy the msg. I can operate in regular mode and do all functions. Just no internet. I have downloaded the update to a flash drive and installed it. The update is now listed on my history and was not before.

Still have the blue screen on my Win 7 64 bit laptop that started on 9/20, the day that KB 2744842 was issued. My unit is set for auto update and the history shows the date 9/20 but not any ref number. Also thanks for the above Download of KB2744842 which I did with a flash drive and seems to have worked because it did the “Do Not Turn Off” thing and it shows up on the list. I have removed SKYPE and JAVA programs that were recent installs. One question to this forum is if you have a router firewall, should I also be using MSE firewall too? I also have a dump failure with a status 0XC000009C.

      the screen had STOP:0X000000F4 (0X0000000000000003, 0XFFFFFA800, AF14060, OXFFFFFA8000AF14340, OXFFFFFA800,035D9510. My clone backup is dated 2/2012. Thanks. Jim

I can boot and do anything except logon to the internet. I get a blue screen crash when I try to logon to the internet. In my control Panel there is a “Action Center” that I had not noticed before and where I can turn my Windows Firewall on and off. I have been using my router firewall and keeping my MSE firewall off. When I turn my Windows Firewall off, it doesn’t stay off. In my updates which are set for auto, there is a KB 2310138. I ran a restore and it said that it is not reversable. I keep a clean machine and have deleted some recent additions including java. Nothing seems to help. Getting depressed. Jim

    • Hi Ted,

Laspass has a 32 and 64 version. I have the problem with IE 9 32 and 64. Wouldn’t you think that Microsoft would make an icon for each? Don’t get me started. Enjoy your day.

Last week I responded to Ted’s question about what new laptop would best fit his “going to college” application. I only half read the thread because I was running my laptop off my cellphone because of a cable failure in my neighborhood. Another thread for tethering. When I got back to thread, Ted already had a laptop and had some problems. Two things not addressed were USB3 and Laptop warranties.

USB3 is 10 times faster than 2. USB3 plug is identified by a blue insert and is compatible with either 2 or 3. I purchased a Seagate 2 TB USB drive at Walmart for $100. I use cloning as my backup. USB2 use to take 2 1/2 hours. USB3 takes me 18 minutes. Maybe we need a thread on USB3?

Why do laptop waranties differ so much? I have never had to use mine. I have online connection after registering. My first year is “in home” no charge for anything wrong. Even run over by a truck. 2nd year is mail in and the truck part is not included. My Asus N73JQ is an i7 17″ with blue ray for under $900 with standard warantee. Are there people that have had bad experiences? The Asus was loaded with bad “try me” programs which some I live with because it might be my main sound system. The most important reason for my post is to THANK the dedicated associated with Winsecrets. It is my bible on WinAnything and the source of “The Best” solution for my stuff. If I find it here, it will be worry free.

Last week I responded to Ted’s question about what new laptop would best fit his “going to college” application. I was late reading the thread and Ted already had a laptop delivered. I stated I had bought an Asus N 73 and it came with everything and several models fit his price range. Two points to be made are about USB3 and also computer warranties.

USB3 is 10 times faster than USB2. The USB3 plugs have a blue insert and work with either 2 or 3. I also purchased a Seagate USB3 2TB drive from Walmart for $100. I use cloning as my backup. USB2 cloning use to take 2 1/2 hours. USB3 cloning takes me 18 minutes. Maybe we need a thread on USB3?

Why do laptop warrantees differ so much. I have had my Asus N73JQ for a year. It is a 17″ i7 with blue ray for under $1,000 with the standard warantee included. The warrantee is 1 year service at your home for anything wrong, even if a truck ran over it. The second year is mail in and you pay if a truck ran over it. I have not had one problem so it is untested. Is there anyone who has stories about Asus warranties. Why do all others offer so much less? Also, thanks to all the dedicated people associated with Winsecrets. It is my bible on Windows anything and the source for me for “the best” solution to for my stuff.

      Ted,

I have had an Asus for a year now. The thing is bullet proof, but if it does break for any reason, they come to fix it at your house and the 2nd year you have to mail it back to them. Two year warrantee plus USB 3 for a 15 minute clone. I would have more info for you but Comcast is out and I’m running off my phone tether. Enjoy.

I think this is my first post. Lastpass has a USB offering call IE Anywhere made for 32 + 64 bit. It also is a plug-in for the android Dolphin browser that is self syncing to your home PC. Pretty nice and has been flawless.
