AskWoody LoungerHad this for some time just an inconvenience as I use “blank” IE to start anyway and just change back through tools>options>use blank. What I have discovered in my case is: although cant find which visited site causes it to happen – when I run Ad Aware it picks it up (see attachment). If I let Ad Aware remove it, the next time I boot up and open IE – its been hijacked. but if I ignore the Ad Aware and just leave it there my blank page loads as normal. I cant figure it but annoying as it is I live with it.

AskWoody LoungerAugust 7, 2004 at 3:04 pm in reply to: auto open with connection to ISP is it possible? (XP home sp1) #861366Now why couldnt I have thought of that? This seems the easiest and simplest way, and does what I want. Thats what makes this lounge so great for the likes of me…you guys can just give a nudge in the right direction and usually come up with a solution to most things. Thanks again all.

OK got that. but thats not what I had in mind. Let me try this…when I open my (broadband) connection by clicking on “dial” (see attachment) is there a way to make OE automaticaly open at the same time (preferably minimised in the task bar ).

AskWoody LoungerThanks for confirmation on that. I only use the old modem if and when i need to use the fax, otherwise its unplugged. And always use antivirus, adaware, spybot etc as a routine procedure.

AskWoody LoungerThanks for responses, it appears the “rougue” cd was in fact just that, having probably been closed to be read by only 1 machine is my guess as it has the same effect on a couple of friends computers also! Doing a shut down and restart puts things back to normal, the wedding photos may have to wait for a while!
