      Bob:

      Thanks.

I found an easy way to do it in Fireworks. I don’t have CS. I can reduce the resolution of the TIFs so that the number pixels for width and height match exactly what I want. When I put the PNGs on the Web page, they look fine. Whatever I had been doing before made them look craggy and broken.

From what I have read, Word for Macintosh, even Word X, has been VBA 5. I was wondering if Word 2004 would be the same.

      Klaus:

      Thanks.

So then there may not be a way to change the size of the text inside the balloons. I also noticed that the “comment reference marks” as Microsoft calls them are not part of Word 2002 at all. If you turn off the balloons, you can’t really match the place in the text where a comment has been inserted with the comments listed in the “List of markup” that can be printed out. Do you know of a way to fix that? I have seen that Word 2003 does keep the reference marks inside the balloons, but I don’t recall if they appear in the text the way they do in Word 97/2000. I rather doubt it. I have a friend who wants to turn off balloons to get a traditional kind of revision marking (strike-through text for deletions), but still keep comments.

      Any ideas are appreciated.

    • in reply to: Landscape Printing (Word 2002) #767582

This is a follow up to my original question.

The problem only occurs on pages that have balloon comments where certain sections are Landscape and others are Portrait. if I make the entire file Landscape, then it will all print out Landscape, even the pages with the comments.

This may not always be acceptable. If someone knows a way around this, please let me know.

      Thanks.

Another question. What if I want the deleted text to show as balloons? Is there a macro for that, or will SP1 fix the problem?

      Thanks.

It prints blank as you said, even when I turn off ballons so that the deletions appear as strikethrough text.
