if you are talking about the quick launch toolbar just right click on the icon go to properties and then the comment section

you have to set the invoice criteria parameter for the invoice you are working on if you only want one invoice if not try grouping on the invoice field in the totals area of the query

in the totals part of your query set if for sum in both fields then subtract payment from invoice

try using NZ with the field names
