Have a look at Readerware not free but quite inexpensive on what it could do. Having a bar code reader can speed up cataloging.

or Try this free web base book cataloging application at LibraryThing.

      Try WYSIWYG Web Builder.

    • in reply to: Building a website #1263506

Try WYSIWYG Web Builder if you’ve use a layout program like Publisher then it is something similar and a lot more for very very reasonable cost. I’m not connected to the developer but a satisfied user. If you favor coding there are areas in the program where you can insert your own codes to customized your website. There are plenty of addins (alot of them free and some paid ones from the developer and user contributors) called extensions that you will find really cool. Bells and whistle for your site without coding through the use of extensions.

Try restarting your router/wireless access point and making sure there is enough ip address it could dish out if dhcp server is enabled. Let the wireless devices/laptop rediscover the AP. This happened to me trying to fix the laptop wireless connectivity and forgetting about the AP not having the problem. May work for you too.

    • in reply to: Dead hard Drive… Data Recovery Help #1196903

If you have access to a external usb enclosure you can plug the bad drive, try that first. Try persistently a few times you may get lucky. If it connects then get the files out as quickly as you can. The thing that you are pondering about is quite risky if you don’t have the right tools and experience and may end up loosing two drives. Goodluck.

    • in reply to: I need help picking a browser! #1195546

Try Maxthon. Things that I like about it are mouse gestures (for me mostly navigating forward right-click slideto the right and backward right-click slide to the left between visited sites , tab browsing, tabs could be dock at the bottom as well, paste and go, drag a link to open on another tab, select drag a word or phrase to do a search, plugins, skins, closing a tab by just double clicking it, closing other tabs except the last selected, multiple home pages, inserting a blank tab allows you to create thumbnails of favorite sites for easy access, easy zooming, re-open accidentally closed tabs, split views, fullscreen with autohide menus, screen capture, Magic Fill username:password manager, easy cleaning history, configurable shortcut and mouse clicks, multi-lingual, in my experience quicker loading than most browser that i’ve used (IE8, Firefox, Safari) in other words my preferred browser unless it is not available on a puter i’m using. Of course not perfect but for almost all the sites I’ve visited it works well.

      Free as well.

Give it a whirl you may like it.
