      Can you explain how your friend use spell check in Notepad? I’m asking because the only way I know is to copy all text to Word, and after spell check is complete, copy it back to Notepad. Maybe his procedure to do spell check causing the problem.

      Woody’s reccomendation was against installation SP2 (Service Pack 2), that includes Outlook e-Mail Security Update. Installation of SR1 or SR1a (Service Release 1 or 1a) Patches is strongly reccomended.

    • in reply to: Disabling a Kernel Driver – How? #537558

      Did you try to uninstall unwanted driver? Boot to Safe Mode (pressing F8 during boot process) and from Control Panel | Add New Hardware delete the driver you don’t need. By the way, Windows keeps copies of critical files in System32dllcache folder.
      It is always recommended when you want to remove a piece of hardware, uninstall the driver first, and only then shut down the system and physically remove the device.

      Unfortunately, not. Error message appears after download and attempt to install the update. Steps from the article make no changes. Thank you anyway.

      I also had problems with graphics in the table on my web page.
      My suggestion: in HTML code, declare cells dimension in percent rather then in pixels, i.e.

      width=”25%”… rather then width=”135″…

      Yes.
      SYLK Update was released 21/28/99 in xl8p9pkg.exe Patch, that upgraded Excel to version 8.0g.
      You installed xl8p10pkg.exe, that included all previous fixes.

      Unfortunately, Accessibility Options in Win2k are ON by default, even if nothing is checked in its Control Panel. For example, try to hit Shift 5 times and see what’s happen. Activate Sounds option in Accessibility – you’ll hear warning sound if you accidently hit shortcut combination.
