AskWoody LoungerI did that Zeddy even as you were typing your reply and was able to unprotect the worksheet. However the Lounge has always been my first “port of call” when I have a problem. Thanks.

AskWoody LoungerUnfortunately I can not select the locked cells at all. and that is what i need to copy. Holding down the CTRL key does not help.
-
WSmarc4ucb
AskWoody LoungerThat is almost it. If it would allow me to insert a note into a read email message or a Word Doc or Spreadsheet it would be exactly what I had in mind.

AskWoody LoungerThis is a system-wide option set (in XP OS) in the Control Panel | Display | Appearance | Advanced Settings. I don’t know exactly which setting.
Thank you it is called “Selected Items”

AskWoody LoungerI believe this is the same as in earlier versions of Outlook: right-click in a blank area to the right of the menu and choose Customize… Then you should be able to add commands on the menus by dragging them from the Commands tab to the appropriate destination.
Yes.
very funny

AskWoody LoungerThis is standard for IMAP accounts. You need to use Purge (Edit menu?) to clear them from the server and Outlook.
Thanks. Is there any way to hide them or transfer them to another box so they won’t be a distraction but still be able to hold them for some period?

AskWoody LoungerThank you. I had pretty much come to the same conclusion.
In fact if it were not for certain political considerations I would not have even bothered you all with the question, but I need to be on very firm ground and even then I will have to be tactful.
Don’t you think the office environment would be a lot more productive with about 40% less testosterone and 20% less caffeine? [

AskWoody LoungerI described the problem incorrectly. It turns out that it is replying to Rich text format messages with Plaintect format. It happens when I click on the rply button.

AskWoody LoungerYes the test was positive.
After “un-checking” tyhe google toolbar the links toolbar behaved as desired. But as soon as I checked the google toolbar again the links toolbar again kept returning to its own row.I will have to get temp admin rights again to mod. the registry.

AskWoody LoungerThanks, That worked like a charm.

AskWoody LoungerIt was the information bar that was making the sound.
Thanks for the help, Leif -
WSmarc4ucb
AskWoody LoungerNo. That was already off like it is in your illustration.
This noise is in Internet Explorere, not Windows Explorer.
