AskWoody LoungerWell, after much work with two friends of mine, we have come up with a solution to this problem. To get PDF files to print with IE 9 you must click
Start
All programs
Then right click Internet Explorer
Click “run as an admistrator”
The files should now open and print fineThis is another mess created by Microsoft and Adobe. Not sure why they can’t get it together. It seems a shame that a normal user has to go this way to get a file type to print. There is nothing in the documents I have read that deals with this problem. It took us a while to work this out with trial and error. What s shame.
Another solution is to switch to Google Crome which allows the files to print without problems.Hope this helps someone.

AskWoody LoungerThanks for your help, Bob (from one senior to another). Seems like when we get used to one porogram, we are forced to learn another.

AskWoody LoungerIn reply to your answers:
1. Yes, I have Vista Service Pack 2 installed
2. Here are the way the updates have been coming to me:
3 on 6/30/11 (just installed including one to nvida hardware
2 on 6/29/11
20 on 6/28/11
6 om 6/27/11
8 on 6/15/11I have never had this problem. As a matter of fact after the recent 3 I have just installed, the new updates icon is on again. I don’t mind the updates, but not 2 at a time. It’s aggrevating. I have checked my settings. Thye are set to notify me of update but not to automatically install them. I am not sure what to do short of turning off the updates and doing it manually
Thanks for your help!

AskWoody LoungerSorry, did not read your e-mail too good. The pictures were originally in JPG format. She has e-mailed them to me by suing a KODAK program for pictures. That is when I got the error code.
Thanks!

AskWoody LoungerStay with IE 8 if you know what is good for you. I installed IE 9 as an upgrade. Could not access internet at all. It took me a while to be able to uninstall this version. You cannot uninstall with control panel. You have to go through the whole update procedure again to uninstall the upgrade. I am running VISTA. Microsoft has a habit of releasing some upgrades before they are completely ready.

AskWoody LoungerI am using WinOptimizeer 8 now. It seems to be working. I have used about four previous versions, and all have worked well. My one complaint with this company is that I am charged a foreign exchange fee on my checking accout when I purchase programs from them since they are in Germany. All of the products see to work well for me.

AskWoody LoungerFred, thanks for your reply. I need to know how to download and install “Winbubbles”. I have tried several ways, but apparently I am doing something wrong. Please provide me with instructions on installing and using the software.
