Hans, thanks for the great advice. It is not split, but I should look into it. As for backups… blush I have been reminded once again of how important it is to do them. (I get lazy on it)

Also, thanks for the quick response. I really didn’t expect anything this quick since it was a weekend! smile

Speaking of which, I hope yours is wonderful.

Thanks Phil, That is the one post that I didn’t read. I will have her check that.

As for new member…how long do you have to be registered before becoming a ‘member’? I have been using this forum for years!

      Thanks again,

      John,
stupidme , I really should have known better than to believe Dell. (after all, why take the blame when you can point at someone else)
It learned my lesson….don’t update until Woody’s gives the all clear and check what is being updated first!

      Appreciate the feedback!

Tony- great link….did the trick! Thanks bunches. The checker tool is pretty cool too. Nothing highlighted after, so it looks like I am GTG.
      Appreciate it!

Hmmm…using XP, should know better than to trust Dell, but at 11pm last night it made sense!
The latest error I am getting is when opening outlook, “The procedure entry point_GETIUMS@4 could not be located in the dynamic link library msdart.dll. It takes 5 times to close it. From what I can tell, outlook runs fine after.

As for the system restore….this is my work laptop and I didn’t set it up…the button was not checked to go to last good log in.

BTW- you guys are awesome. I keep track of your posts and it has kept me out of a lot of trouble…usually! doh
