AskWoody LoungerMay 17, 2004 at 3:47 pm in reply to: mouse problem; reformatting/installing XP Home (XP Home V2002 SP1) #828370Thanks for your response, Joe. In answer to your responses:
1. No, Westpac had many items in the auction – no idea of which branch was associated with which items. Impossible to track this down now. I have tried both USB and PS/2 mouses. Neither work.
2. Think Westpac was probably granted some sort of blanket license. No CD came with the computer.
3. Hmm – so no way around this?
4. Take your point. Was hoping not to have to fork out for another XP CD though. -

AskWoody LoungerJune 26, 2002 at 2:02 am in reply to: Typing 2 lines of text in one cell/row (Excel 2000/SR1) #597038Hi macropod and HansV. Guess what – I concur with you both! I knew there was a simple solution and you have opened my eyes to it. Thank you both so much for taking the time and effort to help me out (in fact, thanks to all who assisted). Cheers!

AskWoody LoungerJune 25, 2002 at 5:52 am in reply to: Typing 2 lines of text in one cell/row (Excel 2000/SR1) #596801Thanks, macropod, but I don’t want a tall cell. Maybe I am talking merging cells? Please see snapshot#2, which shows how I want text to appear, except that I want lines 17 and 18 to be 2 lines within one cell, and likewise lines 19 and 20. There must be some simple way to do this that is eluding me?

AskWoody LoungerJune 25, 2002 at 5:24 am in reply to: Typing 2 lines of text in one cell/row (Excel 2000/SR1) #596795Thanks a lot for your replies, folks, but after following your directions, I’ve still got a problem. Although I am able to break the text and go to a second line within the formula bar, only the first word appears in the actual cell (A117). Please see attached snapshot. Any further suggestions, please?

AskWoody LoungerThanks Mary, but I don’t know how to search once I’m past the start menu > run > regedit stage…?!
