Bob, the old scanner is a HP 3200c. It performed well with Windows 98 but even after downloading the HP “fix” (twice) it won’t work. It will start a scan but stop about half way through. If I leave it alone for 15-20 minutes it will finish the scan. I’m just not into waiting that long each time I want to scan something.

As is most often the case, I didn’t have backup on everything, however, I did pretty well. The main thing is to do the modifications which have been put out by Microsoft (at least the ones which are a good idea). I assume from your note that I should do SR1 and SP2. Thanx!!

Mark, thanx, I got my settings working fine now. I also switched the color setting as you suggested and it seems to be fine. I suspect that if I want to print a color photo I should reset it?

I am unable to access a drive in either way. I will try to run Scandisk but should I assume I have a hardware problem if this doesn’t work? I suspect I’ll have to take it in to the doctor. These things are great when they are working right but sure are frustrating when they aren’t! Appreciate your help!

Yup, went to the “standard” setting. Also, can’t get the “double arrow” to show up to resize the window.

MJ, that reduced the size of my desk top (Too small) but did nothing to the display on Outlook—or Woody’s Lounge, for that matter. Any other ideas? Thanx

Mark, I don’t get a choice on Primary Network Logon. Any other suggestions?
