Thanks everyone for the input. I will try the suggestions and post back. It will probably be after the holiday though.

      You’re on to something.

It forwarded the email. I haven’t received the text message yet, but this may take a little longer, I’ll let you know.

I input my phone number without any spaces or dashes, nnnnnnnnnn

      Thanks a bunch!

      Yes, I use ATT.

The problem is, in Outlook, I don’t see how to make Outlook send the text message, when I receive an email from a particular address.

P.S–All accident rports are sent o one address then automatically forwarded to me and others.

      Thanks again.

In addition to clarify; I don’t need the email forwarded, I just want an audible alert that the email has been received.

      Thanks

      I do.

I have a Blackberry and I receive anywhere from 20 to 75 emails everyday. To set an audible alert for every email that comes in is nerve racking, aggrevating, disruptive, “boy that cried wolf”– yada yada yada…

Accident reports are urgent and need immediate attention, sometimes these are emailed and voice notification, although required, doesn’t always happen.

I want to send a text message to my Blackberry so that upon receipt of one of these accident reports I can get this audible alert.

We just switched from Novell Groupwise to Outlook at my company. This could be done in Groupwise. I just don’t see the right combination in Outlook.

You didn’t use my suggestion! It does work the way you want, see this version:

The formula HansV provided does work, In your first post you mentioned calculating hours worked. Do you want to take the results and multiply the total amount by ‘say an hourly rate’?

In order for me to do this, I had to tweak it a bit:

=(B2-A2+(B2<A2))*24—–and then change the format in the "C" column to number format instead of time format.

I used the referenced instructions and put this together in 2007.

I got it to work by highlighting the cells in the column (not the column header). It worked for 598 rows.

But when I copied the column by clicking on the column header I got the error you mentioned.

      2 problems with o7:

First, when I a, typing in a formula, a small tab appears giving me the elements of the formula. This would be ok most of the time, but in many instances it covers a cell I want to include in the formula. How do I get rid of it?

I believe you can click and drag the tab away from the formula. If I understand the question.

The code tries to save the attachment to C:, i.e. the root of the C: drive.
On some computers writing to C: is not allowed; you might try changing it to another folder, for example C:Documents and SettingsMy Documents.

That saved it to the folder, but it only save the file information, not the actual attachement.

      thanks

Another useful tip, for those not familiar with it, is hold down the “Shift” key > right-click on any folder or file > click on “Save as path”. I find this useful for saving that information or sending it to someone who is wanting to know the address of a system file or any other folder or file.

That is sweet! I can use that.

I tried the first code posted here. I changed the recipient and I got an error that states ‘I don’t have permission to save the attachment’. No error number.

How do I grant myself permission???
