AskWoody LoungerOK,
I will buy a Win 10 license X64 home, I am not trying to cheat, now how do I restore my original full disk image onto the new system with the old system image, or I can’t? The old system image of course includes the OEM operating system, I can’t after I buy a license put that onto my new computer?

AskWoody LoungerNovember 27, 2015 at 7:40 pm in reply to: SFC /SCANNOW Fails and can’t get DISM command to work #1539550Hi,
Since I’m the OP, I had a Win 7 X64 system upgraded to Win 10 Pro X64 July 29th for free. Due to another problem, I saw SFC /SCANNOW failed on my Win 10 installation. That is how I got into the whole DISM fix scenario in this post. Yes I have a Win 10 ISO disc but I didn’t do an inplace repair at the time!
UPDATE: I installed the Nov Windows 10 BIG update to V1511, SFC /SCANNOW runs clean with no errors Then I was also able to create a Win 10 recovery drive windowssecrets.com/top-story/learn-to-use-the-windows-10-recovery-drive/ So I’m Good to Go now!!

AskWoody LoungerOctober 29, 2015 at 4:26 pm in reply to: SFC /SCANNOW Fails and can’t get DISM command to work #1535028Hi all,
OK checked my WINVER and it’s build 10240 screenshot
I upgraded my Windows 7 X64 Ultimate SP1 on July 29 2015(Free upgrade) to Win 10 Pro X64
Next I assumed my USB drive was created wrong, so I followed jwoods post and created the Win10 X64 USB drive with the method posted. I ran the DISM command against the NEW USB drive and it failed exactly the same way. I don’t know where to go from here… -

I upgraded to win 10 X64 from Win 7X64 ultimate on July 29th when it was available, I ASSume it was the latest build, I had no beta’s installed before then. The Win 10X64 PRO USB and WIN PRO X64 DVD were downloaded from Microsoft way after the release. But wouldn’t this command went out to the servers and got the latest version same as my July 29th upgrade when I Tried to repair with this DISM command:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth ??? -

AskWoody LoungerOctober 28, 2015 at 5:59 pm in reply to: SFC /SCANNOW Fails and can’t get DISM command to work #1534883OK everyone
So how do I mount (in Win 10) either a USB Stick drive or a DVD, both have Win 10 PRO.iso on them so I can use the DISM command as suggested?
