ruirib, I have read all your replies and seems you really know what your talking about. My question has always been, “how do we know that the Password manager site will not or can not be hacked” Seems they would be a prime target for some super computer savvy hacker, knowing they could get passwords to so many financial web sites. And is it not true that all someone would have to have is the information you use to access the password manager. And speaking of that, I assume you change that information on a regular basis, how do you remember it.

I use chrome for most of my browsing including email. Many times the pictures in the body of the email are missing but by going to the IE browser they will usually appear. I don’t understand why but it is my work-around.

Lounger, thank you so much. This information is exactly what I was looking for.

Well, Doctor, I owe you a big thank you. I have gotten lazy and have not ran an update for Spybot, nor ran a scan for some time now. Had not really thought about it until reading your post here. I used to be much more in tune to keeping my system squeaky clean. Now, thanks to you I have the latest and a fresh scan. I’ll try not to get so lazy in the future.

I hear that! just virus protection is not enough, but windows has a great fire wall too. I back that up with a free program called spybot and also keep a 100% score with the secunia program. So I feel pretty safe and so far so good.

The Notebook was a Dell. I agree, don’t like the pay as you go virus programs. Fred says MS Security Essentials works as well as any he has tried so I downloaded that on the new Tosihiba after I uninstalled the Norton’s program that came pre-installed. I have been running MS Security Essentials on my desk top for a while now and am happy with it.
      Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks for you help. I took the notebook back to Sam’s Club and traded it for a Tobshiba Satellite C655-S5310 Laptop. They have a 90 day return policy and I made it by a couple of weeks. About $140.00 more but well worth it and I am much happier with a real (as compared to the notebook) computer.

I am having to get used to the new format, no use fighting change. Don’t know why but I just assumed that WLM would automatically update itself as changes were made. Should have known, Thanks

I’m not sure which version I was using, seems I got behind the curve with the release of WLM. Maybe I was using an old Hotmail client. Since your last query about the version I downloaded the 2011 WLM.. I’ll use it now I think. below is what the old thing looked like

No, mine just has the Photo option, then a drop down window offers the three I mentioned. I’ll do the uninstall/reinstall and see what happens.

    • in reply to: Inserting pictures in body of Live message #1295286

That is my problem, a single Photo option is not available. Only those 3 options, New album, Web images or Clip art.

    • in reply to: Inserting pictures in body of Live message #1295284

Sounds simple enough however, when I click on Photo (Insert tab) I get three choices. I can click New album, Web images or Clip art. If I click “New album” I can get any picture from my hard drive but it is listed in the email as an album, the picture is there but so is all the mess about an album. Shouldn’t there be some way just to insert a picture anywhere I want in the body of the email?

I too am delighted with “Drop Box”. Everything keeps in sync and not only able to access the files from anywhere, it serves as a back up. I’m not ready to put my banking information there, but I think that too would be OK.
