      By the way if you are using only 1 PC, why go through your linksys router at all? That’s just one more step to cause problems.

      For troubleshooting remove the router, but for everyday use I would go through the router for no other reason than the NAT.
      Last I checked while direct to my modem the number of script kiddies out there hitting my IP immediately and constantly was disturbing.
      Puts a lot of pressure on a software firewall.

      I have experienced this problem when Windows turns off power to USB ports not in use.
      Try rebooting with the camera connected and on.
      To prevent in the future go into Device Manager, right click on the USB Hub entries looking for the Power Management tab.
      Uncheck the box ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’
