I have attached a sample workbook as promised.

Both the summary and data 1 are correct. Data 2 has several problems. Firstly there are 2 data rows missing, so I would need them to be brought accross from data 1. Secondly, two of the value’s in data 2 are incorrect so need to be replaced with the values from data 1. Finally, column C in data 1 needs to be copied to data 2. All matched using column B.

2 questions though…..

How do you adjust the starting size of the comment?
Can the ‘comment added date’ be auto filled? alongside application.username.

Also, whilst I think of it, where can I find the ‘numeric’ vba colour pallette??

It’s the ‘Time event’ in theory that I am testing, I would not use it as a reminder, I am just learning the theory of using time to activate a procedure. I have been trying this over and over, using a minute or two in the future, but cannot get it to execute.

Hi Hans, Thanks for your response….

I use excel for most of my working day (such fun :-))…. However,I know nothing about Access, other than it being a source of data to me that I copy accross to xls. Can I check that I am understanding you correctly?

I can, using a macro in excel – Data / Import External Data / Import Data from a mdb file ?? at the click of a button??

Does that mean I can sack the old ‘ctrl c’ ‘alt esv’.Is the end of the world nigh???
