    • Thanks Joe. It took a few tries but it finally worked.

No but I will. It’s an office machine so I won’t have access to it until Monday or Tues. Will let you know. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply Doc. (And others) Been on a vacation trip since your post and now don’t have access to the unit with multiple users. Maybe will setup a test unit when time permits.
      Thanks again.

Thanks for the info, Joe. It is part of an OEM hardware upgrade.

I agree completely but in this case there are several programs installed that the user needs but no longer has the program disks.
      Thank you for your reply.

I’ll call when all else fails. I’ve experienced very long waiting times before and they didn’t have answers for my problems at that time and I eventually figured them out on my own. Yes, I had cleared the history. Made no difference. IE ver 6.0.
      Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the ideas John. I’ll do an online virus scan and check. I didn’t try to get onto the other sites but I will. Won’t have access to her computer until next week sometime.

Thanks for your reply, John. Replacing them is an option but I’m actually talking about three of them and they’re all the Microsoft boards with the USB ports and “bells and whistle” extra keys, etc. Could add up to a few $$$. If I can muster up enough patience I could clean them manually as you suggested but after reading the posts that Leif linked me to, maybe the dishwasher thing may not be so far out. Am going to try it with one of my spares. I’ll just use the “short wash and rinse” option and one thing that wasn’t mentioned on the posts…… I won’t let it go through the heated “dry” cycle. Ho! Ho! I’ll let it dry naturally for a few days and turn it over a few times during that time. Thanks again.

Please disregard. I was told by a friend that this was addressed on Roxio’s Trouble Shooting area which I hadn’t previously found.
