We have a bunch of patches coming on Tuesday, including at least one for Windows 8.

Now’s a good time to make sure Automatic Update is set to “Notify but don’t download.” I have detailed instructions on this site: click (or tap) the tab above that says Automatic Updates.

I’m moving us up to MS-DEFCON 2: Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don’t do it.
