Microsoft re-releases botched KB 2982791 “Blue Screen” patch, replacement KB 2993651 has 2 known bugs

MS switched KB numbers, described new bugs with existing patches, some patches have disappeared, and you’re “strongly” recommended to manually uninstall KB 2982791, if you were trusting enough to have Automatic Updates turned on over Black Tuesday.

Which you weren’t of course.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a patch this badly botched. Who the hell is in charge of this mess?

If you installed one of the bad patches (automatic updates turned on?), you’re supposed to uninstall it.
