A routine I have used for some years annually suddenly stopped working. The code called for an export of table in Excel format. The error I got was 3170 “No installable ISAM” . when I tried to export the file manually I found I no longer have the option to export as an Excel File. I can export as text and then import that into Excel but that is a cumbersome workaround. Has anyone lost the export as Excel option and if so any suggestions as to how I can fix it.

    thanks

    Peter

Go to your Control Panel and select Add/Remove Programs, and then look for Microsoft Office 2003. Choose the “Change” button, then look for the option to import/export to Excel.
