In Access 2007 is there a way to change the default folder location used for
import and export? There is a “Default database folder” under the “Popular”
Access options, but it only affects open/save and importing/exporting Access
files (accdb and mdb). All the other import/exports (txt, xlsx, xml, etc.)
    all default to My Documents.

Personally, I can’t think of one. It depends on why you need to change the default, but you may have to go with a custom Import/Export form where you can set the directory you want. It will probably require some VBA or macro coding.

      Thanks, Kirk!
It’s just an annoyance issue for me. Most of the import/export files that I work with are several folder levels down on our corporate network. It’s a pain to have to repeatedly go through the folder levels to get to where I want to go. Access keeps that location for a single session, but a new session leaves me back having to repeat the selection process.
