I’m trying to connect my Win7 laptop to a Windows XP laptop across my home router wirelessly. My Win7 machine doesn’t see either of the other two laptops on the network, one XP and one Windows 7.

The Troubleshooter’s first step is to synchronize Internet time. No matter which Internet time server I choose, I get:
An error occurred getting the status of the last synchronization. Access is denied.

My Internet access is just fine, cable modem speed is fine. I’m running Norton 360 as firewall, and disabling the firewall temporarioly doesn’t change anything.

My only real interest in synching time is to proceed with the Troubleshooter. How can I fix this?
