My Access2002 report display facility (ie. Windows print preview) has started behaving oddly without my having changed anything (obviously). Up until now, the report preview window appeared contained within the bounds of the Access window (could not be moved out of that window), and clicking on File | Print… or on the toolbar print button printed the pages. Now the preview window appears outside the bounds of the Access window (can be moved, for example, to my second monitor), and clicking on File | Print or on the print button prints not the report but the Access screen behind the report. In this case, as the report is generated from an Access form, that form, even after it has been closed (DoCmd.Close acForm,…) is what’s printed.
I have compared every one of my current Access Tools | Options settings with the settings from the same system backed up a month ago, and absolutely everything matches. (Incidently, Ctrl-P with the print preview window selected does print correctly, but that’s an asside: most people don’t print that way.) In addition, all my other Access database systems, some containing VBA code and some not, print preview and print physically as they should. Could someone please tell me what has happened and what I need to change to correct it.
Thank you for your time, John
