    Hi there all!

Here is an interesting scenario and question.

We are currently running out financial package using Access 2.0 Runtime Environment (currently in process of upgrading/rewriting the package). I am busy finishing writing a “add-in” report facility which uses an Access 2000 database and I want to use Access 2000 Runtime Environment so that they do not need to install the full MS Access 2000 or MS Office 2000.

My question is, are there any problems or side-effects known from running Access 2.0 and Access 2000 Runtime Environments on the same machine?

Any thoughts or ideas on this one anyone?

I don’t think so, although I’m not specifically sure about the runtime. I know plenty of people who run 2 or more versions of Access, but they are the full versions, not the runtime. The MSKB has some articles on installing 2 versions of Access; but again, this is the full versions. However, I think the same rules should apply.

Okay – thanks – will have to test it out and see.

Will play around with it a bit – just found out today that we can get one of the production machines once they swap it out later this week – will be able to test it out properly then! Yippee!
