My boss is teaching me how to use and ODBC connection for Access to SQL. He believes in giving a little info and then having me “figure it out”. He told me to read about clusters, pass through queries, stored procedures and SQL views. He did not give me any information about where to read this information. He said to google it or something. Do you know of a site I can go to for this type of overall information. I am not ever going to be a DBA, so I only need an overview. He had me create an Access front end and link to a SQL db. Now he wants me to create some queries based on what I learn. I would appreciate any info you can provide for me as to where I should go for this information.

I haven’t checked this sites’ linked resources’ quality yet, but maybe you might find some useful tutorials here too: http://examware.com/tutor7.html%5B/url%5D.
I also remember Mike Gunderloy made a brief but interesting XX chapter tutorial in his late e-zine as well, but don’t find a link to it right now (if it’s archived… don’t know).
Further, indeed, google is a great resource when using the right search word combination.

Clusters, stored procedures and SQL Views all apply to SQL Server and aren’t accessible from the front end in Access unless you happen to be using an ADP (I believe the name has changed in 2003), which is a window into SQL Server and which can create views and stored procedures. Passthrough queries are a method for using an Access query to call a stored procedure, so you’re back to SQL Server. Is he wanting you to create Access queries or SQL Server stored procedures/views?
