Add multiple lines — not word wrap

I How do I add multiple lines in a cell, but not by using word wrap. After entering the first line of text I need to enter second and third lines below it — in other words I need the “new line” function within a cell, but there doesn’t seem to be one. Maybe it’s there and I just don’k know how to invoke it.
