We use an online web tool to print invoices and shipping labels, which are each generated in a separate webpage. The invoices are A4 size and the labels are 4×6″. The webpage are structured like this: https://btptestament.com/records/packages/77124/invoice  and  https://btptestament.com/records/packages/77124/label/

We print the invoices on a traditional Brother printer and the shipping labels on a Dymo thermal printer. This is the only thing we ever print from a browser. Every time we print, we have to manually select a printer. I want to streamline this and make it idiot proof so volunteers don’t waste our Dymo labels. Is there a way to automatically select the printer based on the size of the webpage or the text at the end of the website? How can I eliminate the step of selecting a printer? Any ideas?

Forgot to explain that we are willing to use any browser. I usually use Firefox but would use anything that would make this work. Hopefully not Edge… but I still would if there were some way to do this in there.

The only way I can think of to do that is to use one of the macro programs and write a script to do the printer selection for the users. You would need a button that pops up on the required pages so they don’t do it manually, or cancel the print dialogue if it’s not initiated by the script, then run the print with the script – maybe add a pop-over to ask the user in case they want to print for another reason.
AutoIt / AutoHotKey are the usual programs.

      cheers, Paul
