Since I rejigged my office, I’m working with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

Every so often, particularly when I come back to the machine from standby, the devices (especially the Keyboard) have ceased to work. It’s generally not a battery problem; it sorts itself when I go to the Bluetooth control panel applet, remove the device and then add it again. But this is a bit of a pain. Can anyone figure out what the problem might be, and whether there is anything structural I can do to get round it?

    many thanks

Use Device Manager ( Start | Run | devmgmt.msc) and check your power settings for the devices. Right click the device, select Properties | Pwoer Management. Make sure “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” is unchecked.
