• Break links to all Excel charts in PPT

    Hi,

Is there a way to break all links to charts in a Powerpoint presentation? I cannot recall any button similar to the one in Excel in the Edit Links dialog that allows one to “Break” links to all charts in Powerpoint. Is there any advice or code that can do this?

The powerpoint can be 2003 or 2007. In the presentation will often be several charts that are linked to Excel files. The person recieves these presentations like this, but needs to break the links to the charts and its a waste of time to do this for one chart at a time. There must be a faster way.

You can click on the first link, then shift+click on the last one to select all of them in the Edit | Links dialog.
      Then click Break Link:

      TX Hans.

The Links dialog is (I assume) from PPT2003? I cannot find this dialog in PPT2007. Is this correct.

TX for the code. I’ll test it out.

The screenshot is from PowerPoint 2003.

In PowerPoint 2007, click the Office button, select Prepare, then click Edit Links to Files.
This takes you to the same dialog as Edit | Links… in earlier versions, complete with the Break Link button.
