Would someone please cast his/her expert eye over the attached db. The BookCustomer form loads a form from which a customer can be selected. It contains a button which on click brings up the frmBooking form Here, various selections are made. The Time combobox gets its values from a query. Each time a selection is made the control is requeried.
All seems well until one attempts to go to a new record when a message appears saying that the record cannot be changed because a related record is required in the related table ‘availtbl’. I have checked every table, query, form and its controls for errors. I have also checked all spellings but to no avail.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Rob

I must be getting better. After 3 hours I found the source of the problem – brain dysfunction.
Thanks to all who looked and tried.

      Cheers

You don’t get off the hook that easy.

For all those who looked and tried, what was the answer?

Hi Pat et al and many thanks.

I hadn’t checked the tables well enough. “availtbl”(the one side) lists potential appointment times and actual appointments are stored in the Bookings table(the many side). Whilst practising, I had manually entered a non-existent time in the Bookings table, hence the error. I blame a range of factors of which fatigue and stupidity featured heavily.
Still, I feel that I have learned something significant.

          Cheers
