Hello all,
Hopefully you can point me in the right direction with the following issue. In the company i work we still have some Server 2008 R2 vm’s. We’re migration/installing new 2016/2019 servers with the intention to replace the legacy machines.
For the time being i still want to install the available updates but with every update i try to install i get the 0x80092004 error regarding the SHA-2 signing support.
I’ve already succesfully installed the required kb’s like 4474419 and 4490628 but this isn’t not the solution it seems. Temporary disabled the crowdstrike antivirus sensor/client but that also wasn’t the cause of not installing new updates.
Is there something i’m missing? Searching on google but looks like i’m the only one with this issue on Server 2008R2
Tried to install updates with software center/SCCM (wsus) and also manually downloading and installing updates taken of the microsoft catalog page. Both give me the same error code when installing
