• Change Sort Order after Entry of Data

Further to a recent post on Conditional formatting I want to stretch things a little further. In the attachment I am thinking that it would be easier to manage as the document gets longer, to have the most recent data at the top of the page. I probably could do a sort every time I open it but I am sure there is a better way to do this.

So what I want to do is when I open the spreadsheet, I would show the last entry first. But that then means to enter a new item I would have to go to the bottom and it would have to resort. Can this be done with a macro>?

If you select row 2, then select Window | Freeze panes, the heading row (row 1) will remain visible when the user scrolls down. So it might not be necessary to sort the data.

If you keep the data sorted in descending order, you wouldn’t have to add new rows at the bottom. You could insert a row in row 2 and enter new data there.

If you really want to sort the data – how? Do you want to sort descending on column A, or on one of the date columns, or on a combination of date columns? If so, which one(s)?
