Hi there… I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to do this…
One of the people in my department does a lot of work in Excel and he wants a selected number of cells to change colour if the value in the cell is not zero… The value in these cells is determined by formulas elsewhere on the worksheet… He’d like any of these select set of cells that isn’t zero after calc’s, to show up red… Sounds like it should be easy, but I’ve never programmed in Excel… Can someone help?

Oh ya… and he’s using Office ’97… (almost forgot)

      Select Format>Conditional Formatting…

Once you set your specified condition, click on the Format button and set the colour to red.

I use XL2000 but if my memory serves me XL97 uses the same method for conditional formatting.
