As many of you will know, Microsoft have put a block on upgrades to 2004/H2 for systems with some Conexant audio drivers. I know this impacts some HP systems.
Microsoft recently partially removed the block, stating “The safeguard hold has been removed for [some systems] as of December 11, 2020. Please note, if there are no other safeguards that affect your device, it can take up to 48 hours before the update to Windows 10, version 2004 or Windows 10, version 20H2 is offered.” For more detail see:

Probably related to this announcement, some of my HP systems have been offered a new Conexant driver via Windows Update. It was Conexant – MEDIA – 8.65.132.2 (my system’s previous version was 8.65.132.1). The date of the new driver is Oct 28 2020.
A day after the driver update my system was offered the feature update to Windows 10 2004 via Windows Update (admittedly I clicked “Check for Updates”, but please note that clicking this after the driver update yesterday produced nothing).
Anyway, for others impacted by this issue, I hope this potentially explains what to expect at some stage.
