• Convert table row to column

I am documenting the tables and their fields an Access database, and I can copy the heading row from an Access table and paste it into Word, but it becomes a single-row table with the fields listed across the page as columns, whereas I want a single-column table with the fields listed down the page as rows. Is there an easy way to flip a Word table so that the columns become rows, or is it possible to do this with a macro?

      This should do it:

Select the row and Convert Table to Text,

then select the text and Convert Text to Table with Table size/Number of columns = 1.

The how-to depends on your version of Word

Thanks for your reply – of course, I should have thought of that!
